THE NATIONAL PAN AMERICAN GOLF ASSOCIATION
WOW, what a great weekend it was in San Antonio. I would like to thank everyone who attended the Nancy Lopez ceremony at the San Antonio PAGA Clubhouse. We had members from Victoria, Seguin, Corpus Christi, Missouri City and Dallas and of course San Antonio. Also in attendance were member of the First Tee of San Antonio. A plaque was presented to Nancy Lopez making her our “Queen of Golf”. Nancy was as charming and accommodating as possible. Please visit the NPAGA website or see us on Facebook for pictures of the event. Special thanks go out to Jesse Garza and the Officers of the San Antonio Chapter for arranging this event.
Also happening this past weekend was the 21st Annual Aquillon Golf Classic Tournament. This great event has raised over $125,000 through the years in support of the Texas Diabetes Institute. Our congratulations go out to Ray and the Aquillon Family on their commitment and efforts for this worthwhile cause, may they enjoy continued success.
The fun continues this coming weekend with the 3rd NPAGA Delegates Meeting and Workshop hosted by the Round Rock Chapter on October 24th-26th, 2014 at Hidden Falls Golf Club in Meadow Lakes, Texas. We are looking forward to playing in the skins game on Friday, the meeting on Saturday and a golf tournament on Sunday. Please contact Moe Garza if you are interested in playing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stewart Healey, President of Handicomp, will give a special presentation in the morning and in the afternoon to any of the chapter’s handicap chairmen and delegates that can attend. There will also be a presentation and demonstration of our National Website by Victor Castillo Jr, our webmaster. He will also be available to answer your questions.
We take this opportunity at this event to WEAR PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Please show your support of this great tradition.
Hope to see many of you in Marble Falls, Texas.
