NATIONAL PAN AMERICAN GOLF ASSOCIATION
A new year brings hope of a bright and promising PAGA golf season. As you prepare your chapter’s golf schedule for 2014, I remind everyone to submit their Invitational dates to our National Secretary, David Gutierrez.
I would like to ask each chapter to set aside a golf outing this year and dedicate it to raising funds for the Texas Diabetes Institute. We need to make a concentrated effort to bring our pledge to them to a conclusion in the near future.
Harlingen is hosting the Winter Meeting on April 3-5, 2014. I strongly urge every chapter to send a representative to this meeting. You need to be a part of the many changes in 2014. I ask for your support to the Harlingen Chapter by purchasing an Ad in their brochure, booking your room early and by registering on time.
Our NPAGA web site is being completely renovated. Charlene Bourgeois, National Vice President, has been leading our efforts to replace and update the site. It will be up and running soon.
I would like to congratulate the Round Rock Chapter for submitting the winning bid for the 2014 NPAGA 3rd Delegate’s Meeting and Workshop. Details will be given out at the winter meeting.
I have to remind everyone that all chapters must be USGA compliant and are authorized to use the USGA handicap system. That means you have your license and comply with all USGA handicap guidelines.
Make your plans for El Paso, July 28 – August 1, 2014
Happy New Year, see you in Harlingen.
President, National PAGA
